This is a ready to use set of secure radios for those who need 
government level digital encryption on their radio communications,
or anyone who wants to have radio private conversations that can't 
be listened to by others.

Unlike the common encryption systems that use an analog voice 
inversion process (which is fairly easy to break), these radios 
use an advanced Motorola Digital Encryption Standard system that is 
much more secure. People listening in on a scanner will only hear 
white noise hiss that sounds just like when the squelch level to 
turned down.

Included are two Motorola MTS2000 portable HT radios covering UHF  
438 - 482 MHz. Both radios are equipped with DES digital encryption,
have 48 channels and scan capability. 

Also included is a Motorola  Keyloader (KVL) and cable which is 
used to program your own secure keys into the radios. 

The encryption can be turned off, so either of the radios can
talk to any non-secure radio that is on the same frequency.

These radios have an alpha-numeric display on the top so you can 
easily identify different channels. The display characters can be 
flipped, so you can even read it when the radio is on your belt! 

Both radios will come programmed to talk to each other on
common access GMRS frequencies. I have a friend who works 
at the local radio shop who can program up to 16 channels at 
no extra cost.

These radios are USA versions with proper ID stickers with
FCC ID information.

they can NOT be sent outside the USA, even through a US address or 
agent.
